At Inner Healing Therapy, we understand that life can be difficult and that everyone faces challenges at some point. We believe that everyone has the potential to transform their life and reach their full potential. Our experienced and compassionate therapists are here to navigate those challenges and empower you to find healing and hope and bring about meaningful change. We will help you on your journey towards personal growth and fulfilment.
Our approach is integrative and holistic, incorporating a variety of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
We work with children and adults as well as do individual and couple work. We specialise in helping clients with issues such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, grief and depression among others. Our goal is to help you build resilience, gain insight, and develop the tools you need to thrive.
We offer psychotherapy both in person and remotely so you can get the support you need in the way it best works for you and your circumstances. Our clinics are based across Central London, in Mayfair and the Harley Street District and in Uxbridge, Middlesex
At Inner Healing Therapy, we pride ourselves on creating a safe space, free from judgement, where you will feel seen and heard. A space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. We listen with compassion and work alongside you every step of the way to make long term changes. We will always work in line with the evidence base and tailor treatment to meet your individual needs. We recognise that you are indeed the expert on who you are and what you bring to the 'room' and we value this expertise and believe this will greatly benefit the success and effectiveness of therapy. We will work together to empower you to become your own therapist so that you can see the benefits of therapy long after our sessions have concluded.
Your past experiences and your current struggles need not dictate the rest of your life. We are here to help.
We work with children aged 5 to 11, presenting with anxiety and depression.
Together, CBT and EMDR offer comprehensive support for children facing a range of mental health challenges, promoting healing and resilience through evidence-based interventions tailored to their developmental needs.
We work with young adults, 12-18, particularly those struggling with challenges associated with growing up. CBT and EMDR offer adolescents a holistic approach to therapy, empowering them to build resilience, overcome challenges, and achieve greater emotional well-being.
Inner Healing Therapy offers adults the opportunity for one-to-one support and guidance in navigating life's challenges, fostering personal growth, and improving overall well-being. By offering a compassionate and empathetic ear, therapists empower adults to uncover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and cultivate resilience, leading to greater self-awareness, fulfillment, and life satisfaction.
Couples therapy offers a supportive and constructive space for partners to explore and address relationship challenges, enhance communication, and strengthen their bond. With the guidance of our therapists, couples can navigate conflicts, improve understanding, and build healthier patterns of interaction. Through evidence-based interventions and open dialogue, couples therapy helps partners deepen their connection, rebuild trust, and cultivate a more fulfilling partnership. Whether facing communication difficulties, intimacy issues, or navigating major life transitions, couples therapy provides a collaborative framework for couples to achieve greater harmony, resilience, and satisfaction in their relationship.
CBT and EMDR can be valuable approaches in addressing various mental health issues that are specific to women's health, for example:
Perinatal Loss, Miscarriage and Birth Trauma
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), PCOS and PMDD
Fertility Issues and Infertility
Prenatal and Postpartum Depression and Anxiety
Menopausal Symptoms
Women's Mental Health
Body Image Concerns
Chronic Pain
CBT and EMDR are evidence-based therapeutic approaches for trauma, each offering unique strategies to help individuals process and cope with traumatic experiences. While CBT focuses on cognitive restructuring, grief processing, and behavioural changes, EMDR emphasises the desensitisation of traumatic memories through bilateral stimulation and the restructuring of negative beliefs. The choice between CBT and EMDR may depend on individual preferences, the nature of the trauma, and the therapeutic relationship. Combining elements of both approaches may also be beneficial in some cases.
Both EMDR and CBT can be valuable in addressing anxiety conditions, whether they are rooted in traumatic experiences, specific fears, OCD, Social, Health or Generalised Anxiety. Each approach offers unique strategies to help individuals manage and overcome anxiety.
The choice between the two approaches or their integration depends on the individual's preferences and the nature of the anxiety. We will explore together what the most appropriate therapeutic approach will be for you.
